In 2021, border restrictions made international tourism meetings difficult. Russian destinations and incoming tourism businesses needed to maintain overseas relationships and introduce products beyond the most familiar routes.
Rostourism commissioned an online exhibition to present Russia’s tourism potential to the international travel trade. We delivered the platform, programme, audience communications and tools for direct business contact.
We provided the exhibition website and registration in English, German, French, Spanish and Russian, giving overseas buyers and Russian suppliers a shared place to join the programme and find partners.
More than 30 newsletters in four foreign languages, international trade media, social channels and partner outreach attracted overseas buyers. Profi.Travel communications and direct outreach brought in Russian destinations and suppliers.
The exhibition combined broadcasts from the St. Petersburg forum with destination and supplier presentations. Sessions covered entry rules, transport, Moscow and St. Petersburg, and products from regions including Baikal, Kamchatka, Altai and Karelia.
The platform supported appointments, online meetings and digital business card exchange. Our team helped participants use the system and supported attendance with operator calls, email notifications and SMS reminders.

The exhibition gave Russian destinations and suppliers a shared international showcase and a route to direct partner conversations. Its networking platform recorded 575 registered professionals, 70 completed online meetings and 3,409 digital business cards sent.
Participant feedback also showed the value of regional discovery. German operator Weit-Blicke reported meeting a local incoming company in the Krasnoyarsk Region and learning about products it had not previously known.
