Joined The European Tourism Association

In April, Profi.Travel media holding has joined the European Tourism Association (ETOA). Today it unites many travel market participants, including such global ones as the UNWTO, PATA, WTM (Reed Exhibitions), FITUR and Euromonitor.
Entry into the Association is a part of Profi.Travel coherent strategy to build relationships with the world expert tourism community. Our presence in the international field allows us to be aware of the essential travel trends and bring them to the Russian-speaking market.In addition, the European market is one of the key for inbound tourism in Russia and the CIS region. By joining the Association, we will be able to discover the tourism potential of our countries to professionals of the European tourism industry.

The European Tourism Association was established more than 30 years ago for development of tourism in the EU. Since then, however, the global tourism market has experienced major changes: new players have emerged, and markets that no one was focusing on three decades ago have come to the fore. But ETOA's experience in establishing communication between market participants is also in demand in the new business environment.
The history of the Association started with the fact that several tour operators decided to unite to discuss and solve the issues of European tourism development: legislation, protection of tourists, problems of cities. Gradually, the Association began to be joined by members of related industries, and now we have more than 1,200 members: hoteliers, national tourism boards, national travel agencies, DMCs, transport companies, online providers, attractions, cruise companies and marketing agencies that assist in branding and sales of European destinations.
